LO2: Treatment

TREATMENT
FaraPack Polymers Promotion for Farapack Polymers LTD

THE BRIEF
I have been informed by the two leaders of Farapack to create 3 products to help promote Farapack polymers to their target market, helping them create more income for the company. These 3 products will be, firstly a promotional video. A video is wanted by Farapack to give their target market a visual representation of what farapack does with the help visuals and audio of the leaders of Farapack. Secondly a promotional leaflet, a mobile physical copy of what Farapack does, this can distribute at meeting and conferences that owners can find a use as all the right information is easily displayed. Lastly the redesign of the website, this redesign can attract more buyers through its professional and artistic look, thus creating more income.
TARGET AUDIENCE
The target audience for Farapack is other science departments in universities as they need the resources that Farapack can make. Or other large conglomerate companies that require this material can be considered the target audience as they may want to invest in Farapacks’s products
CAMPAIGN SYNOPSIS AND HOW IT RELATES TO THE BRIEF
The campaign relates to the brief as it has the same morals as what is stated in the brief, this main moral being the promotion of Farapack making them well known in the polymer selling world and letting the costumers know of who they are to help them in their creations.
KEY MILESTONES
The creation of these products will be hopefully done by April – June 2019, these months hopefully will have the products fully made with client satifaction.
EQUIPMENT
A camera will be needed to take the visuals to that will be displayed on the products, Polymer materials will be need and provided by Sheffield University to help create a video prototype of the polymer for the video, showcasing Farapack’s skills.
PROPS AND MODELS
Science gear and lab coats will be needed to perform these experiments. These being carried out by the leaders of Farapack, all models will be asked question on Farapack in the interview section of the promo video.

HEALTH AND SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS.
Fire exits will have to be known with easy access, special clothing will be needed to prevent harm to models and myself.

LEGAL AND ETHICAL CONSIDERATIONS.
Make sure all documents are signed so permission is granted to film and distribute the work created. Make sure everyone involved is happy and accepts what is needed form them. Ethically no images or sounds that may cause offence can be included.

LO3:Evaluate how the created materials meet the technical and aesthetic requirements of the client’s brief.

For my 3 main advertising methods I have done to advertise my dads science related company Farapack LTD. The methods I chose to create was a website, promotional video and leaflet. These were the requirements my clients wanted. These products were a variety of print and web based and video based. This being a range of different levels of skill.

Firstly the website I created was meant to be a redesign of my clients website as he wanted the website to be more modern to what it was before. The website before was a bit basic and in my opinion not very vibrant. For my website I used Wix.com to create my website as it is easier for graphic design. This allowing me to explore all the design ideas I can use. On Wix I used a square theme to use the hyperlinks to other pages. On these squares I used the jellyfish design as I believe it is a interesting design.  with the purple and pink smoke. This I believe is aesthetically pleasing as the design can connote chemicals that links with the company. I added content they wanted on the website. I knew this through a PowerPoint I had sent to me about what they wanted on the website. I had multiple drafts of this website as I needed to add information of what the company does like past jobs and clients. Another technical requirement  that I think meets the brief is the use of the companies linked with Farapack. This gives description of the clients with words and visuals. I used a interactive graphic that allows the user to click on individual directors to highlight the person. This has photos added to that to make it more interactive.

For my promotional video I have filmed my client and his working partner perform experiments and explain what it is they do. I start the video off with a shot of the outside of their building. This helping the viewer know where they are based visually. I have performed many panoramas of the work environment giving a sense of professionalism, this what my client wanted. I used close ups and long shots my clients performing experiments. This allowing multiple angles being seen. I added two interviews in this videos. these interviews from both members of the team explain what they do and why companies should choose them. Through these collection of clips together there simple facts that make Farapack look good. The video used non copyrighted music in the clips. This all being possible with the software Adobe Premiere which allowed me to make this product. At the end of the video contact information is clearly shown for companies to communicate with them as requested by my client.

Lastly my promotional leaflet. I created this leaflet on Adobe InDesign, I did this because I believe this is the best product to create a print based product to a high standard. I created a square design using multiple different colours and placing the rectangles at different angles. I gained permission to use the black version of the Farapack logo and placed it as a banner. Through this leaflet I used stats and relevant information to promote Farapack and make other companies want to work with them. This making it technically pleasing. I used contacts and to allow communication. photos are also used to make it aesthetically pleasing to the viewer and my client giving a visual to the company Farapack and the people associated with it.

LO3:Explain how the created adverts meet the codes and conventions put in place by: The ASA OfCom

  • My advert does not harm viewers, for example it does not harm people with epilepsy and harm people who are harmed through seeing unsafe practise, as all my scientists are protected and show safe experiments.
  • My advert is suitable to children, I know this because there is no blood or violence in my promotional video because violence is not needed in my science video. What is in my video is protected experiments that only show successful results.
  • The environment is not also harmed during this video. this abiding to the ASA.
My video meets Ofcom codes

  • I have used music to entertain the viewer alongside watching the video
Leaflet

LO3:Create the media components for use in the planned campaign.

Leaflet
With this leaflet I have used the alternative farapack logo that I gained permission to use. I used edited photo to display the work they do and simple but enough facts to provide to other companies. Also I used a square coloured design to make it stand out. This all with contact links.
Promo Video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MUTNdroi-CI
For my promotional video I have used various clips of what I got back from that shooting day. I used the slicing tool to pick out what I needed. I unlinked the audio allowing me to put non copyright music to make the video more exciting.
Website

In my website I used all the photos I have taken and the facts that were provided to me to make the website on wix. I used various fonts and a background of a jellyfish making a housestyle throughout.

LO3:Demonstrate the development of media products for use from plan>draft>final version

Website
Plan:

This site map was a plan of what I wanted on my website, and how I wanted them to be connected. This a brief tool on how I wanted to show off my ideas using simple methods.

Draft:
I created a Wireframe to show a visual draft of my website. This shows some visual graphics that I want in my website.
This being my first draft of my website. This was done on Wix.com, I will do my final website on wix with my draft and wireframe in mind. A lot of changes will happen after this draft including fonts and sizes.

Final Version

I have added information to my pages that can inform the viewer that along with more photos and different themes throughout the website.
